Computershare are currently looking to recruit a Solution Architect to join Global Development Engineering within Computershare Technology Services.
This is a hybrid position primarily based in our Edinburgh office, centrally located in St Andrews Square.
A role you will love
As our Solution Architect, you will be responsible for solution design and architecture delivery - providing architectural direction to teams and implementing architectural strategy.
The Solutions Architect elaborates design options, encourages innovation, drives technical strategy and ensures that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements and conform to Computershare's architectural and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provides solution design and development services in support of prioritised business demand.
* Helps to shape new client propositions, services and products.
* Works with teams to design high-quality solutions that are innovative, stable and resilient; and conform to security and architectural standards and the software development lifecycle.
* Promotes regular review of designs and champions transparency of decision making.
* Manages the level of technical debt to support long-term sustainable development.
* Maintains a good awareness of business strategy, new products, platforms, tools and technologies and keep abreast of the technical strategy of our suppliers.
What will you bring to the role?
Our Solution Architect will provide technical and architectural guidance, supporting the uplift of design capabilities in the development team through education and mentoring.
Other key skills required for the role include:
* Significant experience of application development within a complex enterprise context and with architectures spanning multiple technologies.
* Experience as an architect or in a role that requires significant architecture interaction.
* Experience in using and implementing agile methodologies.
* Experience of influencing at all levels, from delivery team to Senior Management.
* Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data and present it in accessible formats.
* Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
