Duties as Assistant Head Teacher: Leadership & Strategy: Support the Head Teacher in developing and implementing the school's vision, strategic plans, and policies. Teaching & Learning: Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school, providing guidance and support to teachers to drive continuous improvement. Curriculum Development: Work with subject leaders to ensure the curriculum is challenging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the needs of all students. Student Well-being & Behavior: Oversee the pastoral care of students, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all. Lead efforts to improve student behavior, attendance, and engagement. Communication & Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community. Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and represent the school at meetings and events. Data & Performance Management: Analyze student data to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement interventions to support academic achievement. What is required as an Assistant Head Teacher: Educational Requirements: A degree in Education or a related subject, and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS). Leadership Experience: Significant experience in a leadership role within a school, ideally as a middle leader or Deputy Head Teacher. Expertise in Teaching & Learning: In-depth knowledge of curriculum design, assessment strategies, and effective teaching methodologies. Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team, demonstrating excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
