My client, a leading multi-site organisation with a strong presence across the UK, is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive IT Support Technician to join their infrastructure team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering varied, hands-on experience across multiple business locations, with a strong focus on personal and professional development.

The Role
As the first point of contact for IT support, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the company’s network of offices. You'll work across infrastructure, hardware, software, and user support, with opportunities to be involved in projects and systems upgrades. This includes:
1. Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues (network, server, hardware, software)
2. Managing user accounts and access in Microsoft 365 (onboarding/offboarding, password resets, license assignment)
3. Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones
4. Administering VOIP systems (e.g., call routing, extensions, provisioning)
5. Creating and maintaining IT documentation
6. Liaising with third-party support providers
7. Contributing to IT project work and continuous improvement initiatives
8. Travelling to regional offices to provide on-site support when required
Key Skills & Experience
1. Hands-on experience with Windows OS (7/10/11) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
2. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, and Active Directory
3. Understanding of basic networking (DHCP, DNS, firewalls, switches, routers)
4. Exposure to VOIP systems (e.g., 3CX, Mitel, Horizon)
5. Comfortable with ITSM tools like Jira Service Management (or similar)
6. Strong problem-solving mindset using tools like search engines or AI platforms
7. Good interpersonal skills – able to support users of all technical levels
8. Solid documentation and communication skills
9. Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car
