Position: Technical Skills Coach Engineering
The Windsor Forest College Group is looking for a Technical Skills Coach Engineering to join the Slough & Langley College team on a full-time basis.
Role Overview
The Technical Skills Coach/Trainer - Engineering is responsible for managing a caseload of apprentices in the Engineering Levels 3-6 Apprenticeship Programmes. This role involves:
1. Providing effective skills coaching and mentoring to enhance the apprentice and employer experience.
2. Conducting visits and formative assessments in the workplace or remotely to support student progress towards successful gateway assessments.
3. Teaching the theory elements of the standard in a classroom environment.
4. Providing ongoing support to apprentices and their employers, including regular communication and explanation of the standards.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A Level 4 or higher Teaching Qualification, or a willingness to work towards this while on the job.
* An Appropriate Engineering HNC/HND/Degree and/or vocational qualification or equivalent, ideally IEng registered.
* An A1 Assessor's Award is a strong advantage; if not held, a willingness to work towards this in the first year of employment.
