Main duties of the job The Therapeutic Care Worker role has been developed to provide support toregistered nurses in meeting the needs of children and young people with bothphysical and mental health needs.It is envisaged that this will be a developmental role suitable for highlymotivated individuals looking to gain clinical experience before pursuing furtherprofessional training in either nursing or psychological therapies. The postrequires excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and an aptitude fordeveloping a range of practical and listening skills.The post offers a comprehensive induction, clinical supervision from theCAMHS team, and health care assistant training. Previous experience ofworking with young people is essential. The post holder will need to workflexibly to address the unique requirements of the children and young people'sservice, involving rotational shift patterns, nights and weekend work.
