This exciting opportunity has arisen for a new full time role, working for Sirona Care & Health in the MSK foot and ankle team. This role will be fully supported and integrated into the MSK foot & ankle team, working closely with other services e.g. Podiatry, MSK interface, and physiotherapy.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and dynamic clinician with experience in evidence-based MSK foot & ankle treatments. They will need to be an autonomous practitioner, capable of providing MSK treatments such as advice, rehab, orthotic prescription and manufacture, and pressure relief for the high-risk foot. Recognition of red flags is essential, and knowledge of the local pathways is desirable but not essential.
We are an innovative team providing treatment to the Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire area. There are clinic locations throughout these areas, and there will be an expectation for movement within this area for clinics and meetings.
This role is eligible for our relocation package.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner within the MSK Foot and Ankle Service to provide comprehensive assessment, clinical diagnosis, design, and delivery of evidence-based treatment plans for patients with complex MSK podiatric problems. This includes the responsibility to seek advice as necessary from the MSK Foot and Ankle team and Interface service.
To effectively manage own caseload.
To consolidate and develop skills previously learnt as an undergraduate and newly qualified podiatrist, and to develop new skills to an advanced level.
To be responsible for supporting junior staff, students, and apprentices within the MSK Foot and Ankle service and support colleagues within the high-risk podiatry service in regard to management of MSK foot and ankle conditions.

Person Specification
Qualifications and training
* Diploma/degree in Podiatric medicine
* Certificate in Local anaesthesia
* Post graduate specialist podiatric training or experience
* Evidence of CPD related to MSK Podiatry
Skills and knowledge
* Specialist knowledge of the management of MSK foot and ankle conditions including indication and considerations for conservative management
* Highly developed skills in the manufacture of orthoses
* Specialist knowledge and understanding of the high-risk foot
* Demonstration of knowledge of current evidence-based management of the diabetic foot in regard to offloading
* Evidence of post graduate experience in MSK Podiatry
* Experience of delivering training to other health care providers and service users
* Experience of working within the NHS
