The role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Change & Configuration Analyst to join our Information Technology department. The Change and Configuration Analyst is responsible for delivering the firm-wide activities within the Change and Configuration processes including: Effective delivery of the day to day operations of the Change and Configuration Management processes. Timely provision of Management Information to all key stakeholders What will you do: Effective prosecution of the Change Management and Configuration Management processes using controlled processes, procedures and tools. Providing support and justification of Change and Configuration Management principles, processes and procedures. Timely provision of Management Information to all key stakeholders for: the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC); Technical Change Assessment; Change Advisory Board (CAB); Service performance reporting. Management of corrective actions for failed and unauthorised changes. Ensuring timely preparation of accurate change data and ownership for progress on actions for Change Mgt attendance at required meetings. The timely management and stewardship of all Change Requests throughout the change management lifecycle in accordance with defined OLA’s. Responsibility for ensuring quality change management data is recorded and assessed for onward presentation at each change mgt process control gateways. Maintaining an accurate Customer Communication Plan for Change. Chairing Physical and/or Virtual CAB/E-CABs – maintenance and delivery of all associated documentation. Updating and maintaining the Configuration Management System (CMS), ensuring that data quality and accuracy is of the highest standard, including maintenance of CI’ relationships. Production and delivery of Configuration Management reports – IT Asset Mgt, Status Accounting, Trend analysis, Audit and ad-hoc. Assisting in creation and maintenance of CI & IT Asset baselines and Releases. Physical and Logical Audit of IT Assets & CIs Ensuring that the appropriate data, forms and CIs are available for use by all authorised personnel Maintenance of the Configuration Management toolsets including ‘admin’ role duties in Service Now. The maintenance of the Definitive Media Library including detailed SAM reporting. Implementing appropriate housekeeping and archiving activities for Configuration Management controlled data areas Effective integration and interaction with other Service Support process areas Participation in Internal and External Audit as required. What we are looking for: ITIL V3 Foundation certificate as a minimum 3 years’ demonstrable experience of administering and delivering effective Change Management and Configuration Management processes. Experience of administering a central CMDB within a service support environment Excellent understanding of the lifecycle of assets (procurement to disposal) Proficient in the use of MS Office products, particularly Excel for use in status accounting. Experience in administering SAM, including use of SCCM. Excellent understanding of the lifecycle of IT assets (procurement to disposal) Experience with using service management toolsets – Service Now would be advantageous. Good understanding of IT Infrastructure (server / deskside) and Software Licence management. Experience in managing detailed DML baselines. Excellent analytical / problem solving skills and attention to detail. Able to analyse, diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets. Ability to advise others in how to apply process and policy. A self-motivated approach with good evidence of self-reliance, use of initiative, and clear, logical, analytical thinking. The ability to build working relationships with a range of people at all levels. Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve the way that work is done. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Takes ownership and actively looks for personal learning and development opportunities.
