Role: Support Worker
Location: Haywards Heath, RH16
Salary / Rate of pay: £11.75 to £12.20 per hour
Experience: Support Worker experience with Autism and Learning Disabilities preferred. Experience in epilepsy would be advantageous.
Job Type: Permanent role, working every Friday & Saturday night, 12 hours per shift - 24 hour contract.

Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a popular business within the healthcare industry and we have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Support Worker role to join their team.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide the best possible support to people with a Learning Disability and/or Autism and/or Acquired Brain Injury to help them reach their full potential.
2. Promote a person-centered approach to support planning, monitoring, and reviewing of needs and wishes.
3. Ensure compliance with supported living regulations, Health & Safety law, and various bodies such as CQC & Local Authority.
4. Deliver general care and support based on individual requirements as outlined in their Support Plan.
5. Assist customers with personal care, medication needs, and access to relevant healthcare.
6. Support customers in attending meaningful daytime occupations, leisure activities, and other appointments.
7. Encourage customers to maintain and develop relationships with families, friends, and professionals.
8. Accurately update documentation within the customers' home.
9. Support customers in decision-making and ensure best interest decisions.
10. Provide high standards of support that promote positive behavior and well-being.
11. Maintain good working relationships within the team and with other relevant people.
12. Work shifts, including sleeping in and waking night duties, weekends, and Bank Holidays as per the rota.
13. Comply with policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of service users.
14. Maintain confidentiality regarding service users, records, and staff.
15. Attend and successfully complete training sessions and staff meetings as required.
16. Act as a keyworker for customers if required.
17. Identify maintenance and security issues and report them to Head Office.
18. Undertake domestic chores to maintain a hygienically clean standard in the service.
19. Deliver services with respect and commitment to equal opportunities for customers and staff.
20. Meet Health and Safety requirements of the Company and the Law.
21. Comply with all protocols and policies to promote health and safety.
22. Undertake any other duties as necessary, consistent with the objectives of the post.
Requirements:
