An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated nurse to work as part of the Macmillan Cancer & Palliative Care CNS. We are looking for a team member who is seeking to bring and develop their own skills, creativity and experience to both a challenging yet rewarding cancer & palliative care specialist nurse post. The post holder will be based in the Highland hospice Inverness with the other 3 members of the CNS team and will have a caseload within the inner moray firth area There will be developmental and educational opportunities with an established induction process to help you develop your knowledge, skills and expertise. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate an ability to work well with different professional groups and third sector organisations. It would be desirable to have experience in caseload management. You should have both experience and interest in cancer & palliative care delivery. The post will involve direct patient contact, leadership, education and a consultative role. This is a permanent post of 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday, in order to meet service requirements. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within the area to meet the operational requirements of the Service. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes is essential. All applicants should be registered with the NMC.
