Field Ornithologist Northern Ireland Full time (Part time considered), Temporary £13.05 to £18.50 per hour 11% employer pension contribution The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) is looking for four full-time Field Ornithologists for the spring survey season (April-June) in Northern Ireland, with a particular focus on the west of the province. Two positions will work on Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) sites and mentoring of new, volunteer surveyors. The other two positions will work on the BTO’s ongoing monitoring programme for the Environmental Farming Scheme, involving a more intensive survey method, including habitat recording. Both part-time roles and hybrids combining the two may be possible, depending on logistics, for example to minimize travel. Reasonable travel and subsistence costs will be paid, but the BTO cannot reimburse relocation costs. Part time will also be considered.
