Salary: £39,921.92 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Swaleside, a CAT B men's prison.

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues, including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical and time-bound services to HMPPS. We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor with any combination of the following:
1. Five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent.
2. Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
3. Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems.
4. Experience supervising staff.
5. Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating), and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
6. Up-to-date First Aid at Work Qualification - Desirable.
7. Relevant professional qualifications (facilities management/project management) - Desirable.
8. Good Health & Safety knowledge.
9. Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
