The engineering team in Nottingham is part of Stratasys and responsible for a series of 3D printers with the ambition of moving 3D print from prototyping into production. You will play a key role leading the software team in supporting and further improving a high-speed 3D printer based on world-leading piezoelectric drop-on-demand inkjet technologies. In addition to leading the software team, The Software Manager is responsible for the core 3D printing engine, optimizing and extending the capabilities of the machine, as well as developing tools and features to assist other teams like R&D and customer support. What you will be doing: Leading a small UK based team of software developers Taking architectural lead on the software that runs on the 3D printer Guiding management and other stake holders in their visions and requirements, planning and implementing agreed features. Managing software updates to the worldwide fleet of 3D printers. Assisting our Customer Success team in resolving customer issue escalations. On a daily basis, you will work closely with software and hardware engineers in Stratasys Nottingham to design a reliable machine and seamless user experience. Must have for this role: Bachelor’s in software development, Computer Science, or Engineering OR work equivalent 2 yrs working as a lead or manager. 3 yrs experience with Linux systems 3 yrs python programming 1 yrs C or C++ programming 2 yrs working with machine software or similar where understanding of physics, thermal processes and/or electrical systems is required.
