We have exciting opportunities to work within EPUT in our Child & Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Services at St Aubyn Centre, Colchester.
You will have a good general education with Maths and English to GCSE standard or equivalent.
Good oral communication skills based on fluency of the English language are required.
This challenging position requires someone who is a team player, flexible, organized, and able to work well under pressure. The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the clinical team.
Main Duties of the Job
This position requires excellent communication skills, customer service, and administration skills (computer literate/typing/note taking/photo copying/filing/reception duties, etc.), dedication to exceptional patient care and service, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment, and the ability to represent their team and department with due professionalism.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting all administration tasks and aspects of admission and discharge processes in the unit.
2. Ensuring the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using trust information systems.
3. Providing administration support to the inpatient clinical team to ensure smooth running of the service and organizing ward administration according to service needs.
4. Maintaining documentation related to admission and discharge into and out of the unit.
5. Setting up review meetings and ensuring administration is organized ahead of clinical reviews.
6. Providing administration duties on behalf of these services as appropriate.
Due to the nature of the role, a strong emphasis is placed on safeguarding confidentiality, which is a prerequisite for every Administration Assistant / Ward Clerk.
