Location: Hinckley Point Accommodation allowance - £1200 a month 10 days on 4 off JOB PURPOSE: The Welding & NDT Inspector is responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of the companies welding, installation and fabrication activities, including dimensional inspection. They are responsible for inspecting and assessing the strength and quality of welds, ensuring the correct equipment is being used, checking weld specifications and ensuring all safety regulations are being adhered to. DIMENSIONS: Liaise with clients and production teams to establish good relationships Ensure Nuclear Safety by ensuring quality welding of materials Awareness of Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI) PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. To follow and interpretate procedures and specifications within the job scope 2. To manage and control the ITP 3. Contributions to continues improvements 4. Ensure that the work being undertaken is being carried out in line with the contract specifications and standards, through manufacture to treatment and then to delivery to site. 5. Liaise with all sub-contractors and treatment works to carry out random inspections of these sites to ensure compliance to the required specifications as set out by contract and purchase orders. 6. Complete inspections to ensure material at goods inwards meet the required standards. 7. Ensure a good standard of workmanship is maintained throughout the contract. 8. Ensure reports from visits to suppliers and sub-contractors to in-house inspections are produced and recorded with contract documentation. 9. Maintaining a clean and safe work area. 10.
