Join First Fence at an exciting time of depot growth and extended service hours! We're looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead and elevate our warehouse operations. This is a key opportunity to shape our warehouse function, ensuring seamless operational flow, accurate inventory management, and on-time delivery. You will empower and develop your team, implement process improvements, and champion a safe and well-structured workspace, all while partnering effectively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
* Develop and implement streamlined processes to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels, resolving any discrepancies to maintain stock accuracy.
* Lead, train, and support warehouse colleagues to foster a high-performing, motivated team.
* Coordinate all delivery routing effectively, ensuring all delivery schedules are met and compliant with driving regulations.
* Ensure the warehouse is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, organisation, and safety in line with company policies.
* Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and drive operational enhancements.
* Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management.
* Execute HR processes & procedures in a fair and consistent way including investigations, grievances, disciplinary hearings, performance management and appraisals.
* Demonstrated experience in warehouse management, including inventory control and logistics.
* Strong leadership and team development skills.
* Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
* Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Packages, SAP experience would be advantageous.
* Knowledge & understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.
* Experience and understanding of managing HR & ER situations
* Able to remain calm in a fast paced, high-pressured environment.
* Counterbalance FLT Licence & Driving Licence
* As part of your training, there will be a requirement to work away from home until training is complete.
