Job overview An exciting development opportunity has arisen for a team leader to head up our expanding women and childrens research team. The post holder will also lead other research teams where cross cover is required or service needs change. The position is a 12 month secondment and applicants are invited from within the existing team only. We are looking for someone with extensive research experience in maternity, paediatrics and/or neonatology at band 6 or above. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to motivate the team to deliver a wide variety of research studies including commercial, interventional and non-interventional. It is a great position within a successful and motivated team delivering high quality research to our patient population. Main duties of the job Manage or co-ordinate research projects at across the department Provide expertise and guidance on research studies across the trust and in the wider health community; disseminate knowledge & promote research culture. Hold specialist caseload and support changes to clinical practice and service using specialist expertise, Participate in the education and training of own and other health professionals in clinical research and own area of specialism. Accountable for own professional action working within codes of practice, guidelines and current legislation.
