Planning Officer (Public Sector)
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an Planning Officer for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Craigavon site.
Responsibilities
1. To support the Social Housing Development Programme by identifying and supporting schemes in areas of Housing Need.
2. To undertake land asset activity, with an emphasis on evaluation, broader estate studies, support for Transfer Schemes and related planning applications.
3. To assist in housing led regeneration and provide a local enabling role to support delivery of new housing development including mixed-use and mixed tenure neighbourhood.
4. To undertake Site Identification Studies and Feasibility Studies in areas of high housing demand and rural areas identified for unmet need.
5. To provide town planning advice to the Housing Executive.
6. To complete Housing Market Analysis and Housing Need Statements.
Requirements
Essential Criteria
7. Hold an RTPI accredited planning qualification, or an equivalent which is accredited by an appropriate professionally recognised organisation e.g. IPI or RICS (P&D).
8. Demonstrate relevant experience of working in a planning/regeneration environment.
9. Possess a full current UK driving licence or have access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full.
Desirable Criteria
10. Candidates should ideally be members of the RTPI (or of an equivalent professionally recognised organisation e.g. IPI, RICS-P&D etc.) or in the process of developing relevant experience towards membership of the RTPI, IPI RICS (P&D) etc.
Remuneration
c£28,860 per annum, plus discount benefits.
