The Company A market-leading Principal Contractor who completes projects for major blue chip retail clients are looking to add to their Operations team. This business has over 25 years of experience within the industry delivering high quality fittings and bespoke projects across the retail sector. Due to an increase in workload, the business is looking to appoint a Junior Site Manager to support the prestart process in the project lifecycle. This position also has a progression path into Project Management later down the line. The Role Junior Site Manager tasked with site set up and preparation on retail projects on a nationwide basis (North East, North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands). Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications For this role you must possess the following; Willing to travel UK Nationwide and work occasional night shifts High Level of IT Skills Ideally a HNC / HND / Degree in construction or equivalent SMSTS First Aid (3 Day Course) CSCS CardDuties Manage the coordination of permits whilst conducting risk assessments Addressing issues and ensuring clear communication among stakeholders Identify and report any defects, implementing the necessary corrective actions Collaborate with project teams to ensuring smooth alignment with project goals Oversee the progress of work, ensuring it aligns with established quality standards Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used, and workforce attendance Implement and enforce health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment Ensure all activities on-site adhere to company policies and industry-specific construction regulations Assist in managing and coordinating day-to-day onsite operations, ensuring seamless project progression Monitor project timelines and financial parameters to ensure alignment with planned schedules and budgetary limits Perform routine site audits to ensure consistent adherence to high-quality standards, identifying areas for improvement Manage and facilitate effective communication and collaboration between subcontractors, suppliers and on-site workers Ensure all workers are equipped with the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and consistently adhere to established safety protocol Participate in site meetings and compiling detailed progress reports to keep stakeholders informed on project developments, timelines, and any issues that may ariseThis is a Permanent position with a competitive salary (£30,000 - £40,000 Package) on offer for the successful candidate.
