Project Manager - Construction Consultancy
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
We are currently partnering with a leading construction consultancy to find a talented and ambitious Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Liverpool. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide variety of sectors, including sports, automotive, R&D, and academia, alongside some of the most innovative and high-profile clients in the industry.

You should have a strong commercial awareness and be able to lead teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, both on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed project briefs in collaboration with clients, outlining responsibilities for consultants and specialists.
* Establish clear lines of communication and reporting procedures within the client and design team, acting as the main point of contact for all project-related matters.
* Coordinate feasibility studies, including site surveys, investigations, and evaluations.
* Manage project finances from start to finish, including cash flow forecasts, monitoring expenditure, and providing recommendations on client payments.
* Administer contracts (JCT, NEC) and ensure compliance with project documentation, including master budgets, risk registers, and schedules.
* Oversee document management and ensure all project documentation is maintained in an organised and accessible system.
* Produce and deliver detailed progress reports at relevant stages of the project lifecycle.
* Monitor contractor progress and ensure alignment with the project programme.
* Lead consultant teams to ensure contractor designs meet contract specifications.
* Liaise with clients on deviations from budget, timelines, or specifications.
* Conduct pre-start and handover meetings, ensuring smooth project transitions.
* Ensure all CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations are adhered to during project delivery.
* Manage project logistics and resource allocation to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
* Lead and chair regular project meetings to monitor progress and resolve any emerging issues.
* Provide detailed reports to clients on inspections, scheduling, and the acceptance of works.
Experience & Skills Required:
* Proven project management experience, ideally within a construction consultancy.
* Ideally working towards, or planning to pursue, professional chartership (RICS, CIOB, RIBA, MICE).
* Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and instructions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
* Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex, high-value projects.
* Experience in client management and preparing successful tender submissions.
