Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to join our team and partner with leading financial services clients. You will leverage your deep understanding of the financial services industry and data architecture expertise to design and implement innovative solutions that empower clients to leverage their data as an asset. In this role, you will collaborate with clients to assess their data needs, design data architectures, and develop roadmaps aligned to their business and data strategy. You'll be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the architecture is aligned to business goals while considering regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: Designing and implementing data models that effectively represent the structure of data and support business processes Overseeing the database management systems (DBMS) and ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security of databases Developing strategies for data integration from various sources, ensuring data consistency and quality across systems Creating and maintaining the overall data architecture strategy, including selecting appropriate technologies and frameworks Establishing data governance policies to ensure compliance with data regulations and standards, and managing data ownership and access controls Working closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and IT teams, to understand data requirements and provide solutions Monitoring data systems and their performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes to enhance efficiency and reliability About the candidate: Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions and experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake Proficiency in data modelling, both logical and physical, familiarity with data normalization and denormalization techniques is essential Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Financial Services Industry and how a well-designed data architecture can help organisations meet their business objectives Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business leaders in the financial services industry.
