FEED Development Engineer

Our client is looking to recruit a FEED Development Engineer to work in Bury St Edmunds or Colchester offices and site locations.
As the Development Manager, you will be part of our Design Team, working with the client to produce early engagement to support the programme of works. The contract includes programme management, design, delivery, and technical support across East Anglia.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Project Managing the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) process.
The primary goals of a FEED study include:
1. Produce all technical documents.
2. Confirm project specifications.
3. Clarify the scope of the project.
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Working through the Stage Gate Process Pre, A, B, and C.
2. Managing designers, Civil and Electrical.
3. Managing Estimators and QS's.
4. Managing procurement.
5. Managing Document Controller(s).
6. Managing risks.
You will need to be proficient in MS Office products and have a P6 plan managed by the planners.
Your Team:
You will collaborate with the client, Delivery Director, Operations Manager, QS, Estimator, Planner, and Document Control.
Your Qualifications:
1. Must understand the FEED process and the associated risks.
2. Project Manager with commercial knowledge.
3. Experience on projects of £10 million on an EPC basis.
4. Knowledge of FEED work in a DNO or National Grid Transmission environment or other supplier to the DNO.
5. Ideally Chartered, with a preference for Electrical or Civils background (the process is more important than qualifications).
6. Minimum of HNC/D or equivalent in a building or M&E environment or 10 years post-apprenticeship work experience.
7. Full UK Driving License.
