Job summary An exciting opportunity has become available to the join the Medical Imaging Team at Leighton Hospital as a PACS and RIS Assistant Support Manager. This is offered as a full-time substantive post. The post holder will be required to work Monday to Friday within the Medical Imaging PACS/RIS team alongside the PACS and RIS Lead, clinical staff, and Medical Imaging Service Manager. Main duties of the job As a member of the Radiology Systems team you will contribute to the delivery of an efficient and responsive radiology service. Perform a range of administrative and system support functions under the guidance of the Radiology Systems Manager to ensure that the integrity of PACS and RIS (Radiology Information System) data is maintained. You will also assist with training new staff/users as required. Some knowledge of procedures and workflow within the radiology department. An appreciation of the need for accuracy and concentration when using the administration tools on the systems. Import images onto PACS from other healthcare organisations, either on film, CD or sent electronically. This includes: Use of specialised workstation. Data entry on RIS.
