Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students at various levels, ensuring all students achieve their full potential. Develop and implement creative lesson plans, ensuring they meet curriculum standards and student needs. Assess and monitor student progress through regular feedback, grading, and evaluations. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and collaborative learning. Work closely with colleagues to plan, coordinate, and assess students' learning. Support students with individual needs and promote their personal development. Attend school meetings, parents' evenings, and contribute to the wider school community. Requirements: Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in English or a related subject. Experience in teaching English at secondary level (or equivalent). Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse learning needs. A passion for literature and education, with the ability to inspire students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to continuous professional development. Desirable: Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4. Knowledge of the latest curriculum changes and teaching resources. Ability to teach A-Level English (if applicable). Enhanced DBS check.
