We are recruiting for an Assessment and Awards Officer
We are seeking an Assessment and Awards Officer in our small and friendly Assessment and Awards Team at the British Psychological Society. This role is available on an interim basis to cover maternity leave until the end of June 2025. The team delivers End Point Assessments (EPA) for apprenticeship standards.
You will be responsible for ensuring candidates undertaking the End Point Assessments receive excellent service and are assessed to the highest of standards.
Key accountabilities
* Be an administrator for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) portal and associated online planning and recording systems.
* Ensure all candidates, including apprentices, understand assessment processes and procedures to ensure equity.
* Administer the assessment cycle, ensuring the timely release of results.
* Support the investigation of assessment-related complaints and appeals.
* Ensure the website for EPA is maintained and up to date.
* Develop advice, guidance and supporting documentation for stakeholders.
Day-to-day tasks will include:
* Managing and responding to general queries, escalating as required.
* Arranging EPAs, and communicating schedules to apprentices, assessors and actors.
* Opening EPAs, setting up on VLE and uploading all assessments.
* Quality assurance checks on the Ofqual portal.
* Organising IQA plans and samples, updating trackers.
* Collating and monitoring feedback and developing continuous improvement measures.
* Arranging and preparing meetings, including recording minutes.
* Checking assessments received from apprentices.
* Preparing results and certification for apprentices and updating RESULTS Tracker.
* Preparing Fail Re-sit and Fail Re-take feedback sheets.
* Preparing and delivering training events.
* Supporting with the recruitment of assessors and actors.
