OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s management systems, focal resource for certification and regulatory body approval, auditing and inspections, and to report on the performance of the management system to the Group Compliance Manager.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Identify and flow down applicable compliance requirements to the business.
2. Provide assurance of functional audit compliance to business management system processes.
3. Generate business management system performance metrics output reports by function [Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)].
4. Identify functional corrective actions and manage closure.
5. Generate management system audits and findings.
6. Document, issue and maintain management systems and processes.
7. Continuous improvements and lessons learned.
8. Perform risk assessment activities that are required by the business.
9. Report on the effectivity and performance of the management systems as required by the Group Compliance Manager.
10. Establish and maintain a departmental structure that is sufficient to support compliance activities.
11. Ensure that the processes used to determine and manage employee performance, attendance, timekeeping and employee relations are effective and that a close alignment with the HR Team on such matters is maintained.
12. Ensure that all applicable staff are provided with information on the organisation’s performance and future plans, principally through formal briefing processes and reviews.
13. Abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the organisation's standards and policies, including its health, safety and environmental policies.
14. Work with others as appropriate in order to ensure that the organisation has appropriate systems to enable it to conduct its activities both lawfully and ethically.
15. Contribute efforts to ensure that the organisation maintains high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility wherever it does business.
16. Carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Proven experience in a compliance (or comparable) role.
2. Proficient on Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office suite.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
1. GCSE (or equivalent) Maths, English and Science at grade C or above.
2. Recognised industry Apprenticeship.
3. Compliance Assurance based qualifications.
4. Industry recognised qualifications for management systems.
5. Vast experience working in Aviation industry.
6. Supervisory and/or managerial experience.
The Company is seeking an ambitious and conscientious individual to implement, manage and maintain its Design Assurance management systems, support standardisation and provide a focal resource for certification and regulatory body approval, auditing, and inspections.
Standards include CAA Design and the implementation of Design Office Interface documents with Customers such as Airbus and Boeing.
