Trust and Foundation Philanthropy Coordinator

The role
Part of the Income and Partnerships team, the Trust and Foundations Philanthropy Coordinator is a rewarding and valuable role at Migrant Help. You will be responsible for supporting the Migrant Help Income Strategy to diversify the charity’s income streams whilst working closely with our strategic programmes, coproduction and front-line services teams across the charity. You will identify, generate, and help grow income from a portfolio of trusts & foundations, stewarding relationships with philanthropic funders, individual donors and supporting with high value grant applications.

Role responsibilities
* Working with the Head of Income & Partnerships to identify, research, qualify and build a pipeline of Trust & Foundations and philanthropic prospects.
* Researching and identifying funding opportunities aligned to our strategic programmes.
* Annual fundraising target of £75k+ with a minimum forecasting of 6 – 12 month pipeline.
* Write high quality, robust and compelling fundraising applications and propositions that inspire donors.
* Working with the Head of Income & Partnerships, proactively support the development and implementation of donor cultivation, stewardship and building relationships with high value donors, funders, funding partners, grants and trusts, managing all aspects of donor care.
* Support individual giving and community fundraising, stewarding their donations and ensuring they receive the highest quality donor management.
* Managing and producing impact and evaluation reports to ensure all T&F and philanthropic donors receive high quality stewardship of their donation.
* Maintain accurate records of new and current funding applications, evaluation and impact reports ensuring database records are correct and up to date and adhere to reporting and GDPR guidelines.
* Close collaboration with colleagues across the charity working closely with senior managers and front line teams to mobilise funded frontline projects, including leading on project planning and monitoring.
* Manage CRM donor information, keeping robust records to assist with income analysis and forecasting.
* Keep abreast of changes to the funding sector, funding opportunities and develop an understanding of how this impacts the charity.
* Attend fundraising events, seminars, team meetings and strategy days.
* Provide cover and assist and support the Bids & Tenders team with sourcing income from local authorities and statutory grant awarding organisations and produce accurate impact / evaluation reports in line with funding requirements and timeframes.
The experience and skills you need
* Demonstrable experience of trust & foundations fundraising.
* Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, accuracy and proof reading skills.
* Experience of writing and producing bespoke T&F grant applications, funding propositions and impact reports, communicating complex information clearly.
* A good understanding of the key features of trust & foundations fundraising, including how Trusts & Foundations operate and award grants, as well as key compliance considerations and trends in the sector.
* Ability to build strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
