Global Rail Construction Ltd is part of the RSK Group and is a leading UK provider of design and build services to clients in the rail and transportation sector.
The company is a principal contractor for UK mainline and metro railways across a number of disciplines, which include signalling, mechanical, electrical and power (MEP), telecoms, civil and structural engineering, maintenance, renewal, providing a fully tested and commissioned service, on both Network Rail and Transport for London controlled infrastructure.
We are currently seeking a full-time Railway Infrastructure Assistant Project Manager to deliver an effective, efficient, and safe service for the company. The role is ideally suited to a career-minded Assistant Project Manager.
Your duties will include:
1. Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the workforce and plant on site
2. Liaising with the client as required
3. Ensuring smooth progress of projects whilst meeting budgets
4. Making sure contracts are handed back to the client as per requirements
5. Safeguarding GRCL’s commercial, production and safety issues as defined in the scope of works detailed at the start of projects
To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following credentials:
1. Strong civil and rail experience
2. Understanding and working use of Network Rail and British Standards
3. Ability to work together in a team environment
4. Technical, analytical, and numerical design abilities
5. Outstanding communication skills and demonstrable presentation skills
6. Flexibility to travel throughout the UK as and when required and availability to work weekends and nights
7. Knowledge of Network Rail and London Underground design and build processes
8. Civils, Drainage, Piling and Temporary works experience
9. A full UK Driving Licence
10. Personal Track Safety Certificate (PTS)
11. SMSTS
12. Certification in the use of various handheld power tools
13. CSCS card
