Job summary
Involved in the preparation and service of meals to patients, Staff & Visitors. Required to undertake a wide range of cleaning and monitoring duties associated with maintaining food hygiene within the main kitchens, ward kitchens, dining room and coffee shops. Ensuring that at all times a high-quality service provision is offered, maintaining trust values.
Successful candidates can choose from shifts at Aintree, Broadgreen and Royal Liverpool Hospitals.
Main duties of the job
* Planning and organisational tasks/duties
* Work as directed by catering supervisors in accordance with local procedures
* Work within strict timeframes
* Participate as a team member
* Be prepared to move to a different task as directed by the supervisor
* Performance of duties in accordance with approved methods, frequencies and standards, adhering to strict food safety standards
* Some preparation of cold foods will be required
* Minor cooking skills to produce call order items, e.g. Breakfast items, bacon, sausage, burgers as directed
* Assist chefs with basic food preparation and cooking
* Use of equipment machinery and cleaning materials as directed
* Significant cleaning duties are associated with this post including cleaning of pans, cutlery, crockery, machinery, cooking equipment and floors walls and work surfaces
