Special Needs Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities: Provide support for students with special educational needs, both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis. Help students with classwork, ensuring they can access the curriculum. Implement strategies for managing behaviour and supporting emotional well-being. Assist in the development and delivery of tailored learning activities. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and other staff members. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging independence and confidence. Support students with personal care if required, in line with their individual needs. Work with other school staff and external agencies to provide holistic support to students. Ensure students are supported in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Skills & Qualification for a SEN TA: Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting as an SEN Teaching Assistant. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3in Teaching Assistance or similar are desirable but not essential. Any degree in Psychology, Education or in similar field. A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with students with additional needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and staff.
