Our client is seeking an internal Recruitment Officer for a Care Service in the walsall Area.
Main Job Purpose:
Responsible for the recruitment of Care & Support Staff for Care Services and the integration of these staff into the workplace structure. The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the recruitment of other staff, at all levels when required to do so.
Key Tasks:
• Advertising roles and managing applications.
• Searching CV databases for suitable candidates.
• Conducting face to face interviews.
• Carrying out all mandatory security checks (DBS, references, ID).
• Organising and arranging inductions for successful applicants.
• Organising sign ups and shadow shifts.
• Working closely alongside the training officer and coordinators.
Relationships:
• Accountable to: Directors of Care
• Line management accountability to: The Registered Manager
• To have a designated line manager and be regularly supervised
• Liaison as appropriate to the role within Care Services
• Liaison with other organisations and individuals, as appropriate to the role and as agreed by Care Services
Duties and Responsibilities:
Advertising Roles
• Advertise jobs according to Job Descriptions and Job Specifications of Care Services
• Recommend and obtain agreement for any changes / developments in advance
• Develop active contacts to ensure appropriate advertising at all times
• Advertise jobs through agreed outlets
• Search CV databases for suitable candidates
Managing Applications for Care & Support Staff
• Receive application requests
• Facilitate the efficient completion of application forms
• Select candidate for interview
Conducting Interviews
• Organise and schedule recruitment [face to face] interviews
• Undertake recruitment interviews in accordance with Care Policy
Carrying out all mandatory checks and checks required by Care Services
• Undertake the acquisition of suitable references within specified time scales
• DBS checks to be undertaken, Including managing financial contributions from applicants
• Undertake relevant Identification [ID] checks
• Complete all other mandatory checks or other checks as required by Care Services
Record Keeping and Administration
• Keep full and effective records including process records as required by Care Services
• Complete all associated administration in a timely manner including all letters of acceptance or rejection, invitations for interview etc., including reports/feedback to mangers.
• Ensure efficient ‘sign-off’ of recommendations for employment by managers to ensure no delay
• Maintain all records efficiently which relate to the Job Role or employment within that role
Introduction to the Workplace
• Organise and initiate induction for successful candidates
• In liaison with the Training Officer schedule required initial training for successful applicants
• Organise shadow shifts in liaison with the Training Officer and Care Co-ordinators
• Work closely with the Training Officer and Care Co-ordinators
Additional Responsibilities
• To undertake the administrative and business processes connected with HR processes as required.
• Particularly this will occur in the context of dealing with Disciplinary Matters.
Assist In Other Tasks as May Be Appropriate and Required from time to time.
