The Woodhouse Partnership Ltd (TWPL) a member of the RSK Group, provides leading-edge expertise in the optimal management of physical assets and infrastructure for many industry sectors, with operating business units in UK, North America, South America, and Australasia.
Due to ongoing growth we are now seeking an Operations Director to oversee and manage the company's global operations and performance. Working in the Executive Management team at the Head Office in Hampshire, the Operations Director will have an overall business development and operational performance responsibility across the UK and overseas subsidiaries.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working within a small headquarters organisation that provides leading-edge professional consulting and training services to major industrial clients worldwide, drawing on a distributed workforce of subject matter experts, our Asset Management Academy and our wholly-owned software development subsidiary (Decision Support Tools Ltd).
This role is full time and based at our UK Head office in Kingsclere, Hampshire. We offer hybrid working with 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contributing to the company’s business strategies, objectives, capabilities and performance over both short and long-term.
* Day to day operational control of the UK headquarters office team and the support of regional business units in North America, Latin America and Australasia
* Developing and managing operational budgets and resources to ensure that the company can deliver its objectives and sustained performance.
* Maintaining an effective working relationship with other senior executives (business unit managers) and other businesses in the RSK group) to ensure that there is efficient and effective co-ordination.
* Monitoring, reporting and improving the company’s operational practices and activities, including financial performance and communications.
* Developing and maintaining appropriate systems and procedures to ensure that company complies with relevant legal, quality and governance standards.
Person Specification:
* Familiarity of infrastructure/physical assets and their operational management in a business services environment (such as consulting, training or management services). This will include excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, commercial and business development acumen, analysis and value-based decision-making, quality and risk management experience, and communication skills.
* Experience in working with different operating environments, cultures and geographical regions.
* Ability to work collaboratively, consulting regularly and proactively with colleagues, account managers, regional business unit managers and other organisations in the RSK Group.
* Strong desire and ability to provide best in class service.
* Capability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities.
* Flexibility and adaptability to facilitate and accommodate growth, operational change and cross-cultural, international collaboration.
* Degree-level relevant qualifications or de facto equivalent experience
* High levels of competency using MSOffice software, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Ability to work independently, using own initiative, with analytical problem-solving skills.
* A full UK driving licence
* Some occasional travel may also be expected – both in UK and overseas – for liaison with business units and key account clients.
