If so, we want to hear from you About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and organised School Attendance Officer to join our team in Redhill, Surrey. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and improving student attendance, working closely with parents, teachers, and senior leadership to support our school's objectives. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and track student attendance data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. Follow up with families regarding unexplained absences and provide support to encourage regular attendance. Work with school staff to identify patterns of absence and implement strategies to address concerns. Ensure compliance with school policies and local authority regulations on attendance. Support the development and implementation of initiatives to improve attendance across the school. Maintain up-to-date records and produce reports for senior leadership.The Ideal Candidate: Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving attendance. Experience working in a school or education setting (desirable but not essential). Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation related to school attendance.
