NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. This is a fixed-term post of 12 months.
The shift pattern for this position is Normally Mon – Friday, 9-5, however evenings may be required on occasion.
We are looking to appoint a Business Manager who will work closely with the Interim Chief Nurse - Corporate and HSCP Chief Nurses, providing senior leadership support across a complex, diverse, and concurrent portfolio of work programmes. This will include comprehensive business management and service development support. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the post holder will contribute to the achievement of business performance objectives, supporting financial management and reporting, workforce performance, staff governance, and clinical governance. The post holder will also contribute to the delivery of the Board’s key objectives. The post holder will implement effective systems and processes, including developing databases, project plans and key meetings while monitoring performance. There will also be a requirement to establish effective communication processes and act as a liaison between the Interim Chief Nurse - Corporate / HSCP Chief Nurses and other internal and external parties.
The post holder will work in an innovative and demanding environment and provide a consistently high level of support to the Interim Chief Nurse - Corporate and HSCP Chief Nurses, whilst managing the varied key tasks associated with the post.
Essential Requirements:
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience).
* Significant experience within the NHS or similar complex organisation
* A strong track record of managing projects at a senior level in a large and complex organisation.
* Proven experience in policy development, planning, and service delivery, including performance management, monitoring, and evaluation techniques.
* Excellent writing and presentation skills for report writing and presentations.
