Key responsibilities: Oversee the entire lifecycle of events, ensuring all logistics are meticulously planned and executed. Efficiently manage the M&E department, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the department's objectives and are adequately trained. Contribute to the profitability of the hotel and spa by driving revenue from meetings, conferences, and events. Manage budgets, control costs, and optimise resources to achieve financial targets. Lead, motivate, and inspire the M&E team to deliver exceptional service and achieve department objectives. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure the team remains skilled and knowledgeable about industry trends and best practices. Ensure the highest level of customer service is delivered. Ensure that all products and services provided during events meet the highest quality standards. Monitor the performance of the department, making adjustments as necessary to meet or exceed targets. Person Specification: Essentials Minimum 2 years experience in a hospitality management role, specifically in front-of-house operations within venues such as hotels, events centres, or wedding venues. Experience in managing event operations, running conferences, weddings, banquets, and large events in a high-standard venue. Strong ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on motivation, development, and performance management. Proven track record of working closely with and managing partnerships. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Great attention to detail being meticulous in managing tasks. Dedicated to providing exceptional service and building long-term client relationships. Further Information: 45 hours per week 5 days a week Full flexibility is required as the role will include some work over evenings, weekends, and holidays.
