We are excited to be looking for a Trustee to join our board of volunteer trustees at Autism Initiatives UK (AIUK).
AIUK is a leading provider of quality and innovative person-centred autism-specific services.
The board of trustees represents the highest level of management in AIUK and it is also crucial in setting the organisation’s direction. Each trustee will work as part of an established board team in helping the organisation to meet its mission.
Whilst a detailed understanding of autism is not essential, we do want people on our board who are interested in autism. Experience on other charity boards or similar is also not essential but may be regarded as beneficial.
Board meetings and sub-committee meetings are held quarterly at our head office in Bootle.
We are particularly keen to recruit people who can bring experience of critical thinking and contribute to and support strategic thinking. Additionally, we require people who have skills and experience in any of the following areas:
- Charity Governance
- Risk management
- Finance
- Business
- Law
- Human Resources
