Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to lead, manage and motivate the team. They will ensure that all necessary resources are available for the project to progress through planning, design, tender and technical approval to the agreed budget and programme.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attend monthly project meetings to ensure strategy, programme and budget are on track.
2. Review new strategies where project parameters change and ensure communication to all team members.
3. Establish a positive and ethical culture within United New Homes that enables the company to deliver its stakeholders' objectives.
4. Liaise with wider United New Homes team members to support delivery of projects.
5. Liaise with the Senior/Regional Engineering Manager to agree on strategy, budgets and programme.
6. Provide a monthly update for Senior Engineer to track project progress and identify any changes to agreed strategy, budget and programme.
The job holder will be primarily responsible for the achievement of the United New Homes business plan’s delivery, in terms of moving all schemes successfully through to construction. Specifically, he/she should demonstrate a good working knowledge of:
He/she should also review United New Homes quality, environmental and health and safety performance, to ensure a record of continual improvement by the implementation of best practices.

2. Assist with planning consents of projects on time and on budget.
3. Commercial value of project is maximized at all times.
4. All projects have a clear, understood deliverable strategy.
5. Sufficient resources are made available to projects to avoid delay or reduction in quality.

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in Engineering Design, with strong knowledge of Technical Standards and planning law affecting development issues. Should have relevant professional qualifications.
* Educated to Higher National Certificate.
