Risk Manager - Rail | Leeds or Sheffield | Up to £75,000 per annum | Hybrid working

Our client is seeking an exceptional Risk Manager with QRA expertise to join their dynamic and growing Yorkshire-based Rail team. This is your chance to take the reins and shape the risk management strategy from the ground up, providing vital consultation to key stakeholders. Responsibilities:
1. Implement or support the implementation of an integrated risk management framework across a major capital programme. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:
2. Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues within the sub-programme.
3. Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget or retirement of threat/opportunity.
4. Use risk data to inform investment planning.
5. Assist with the identification and recording of appropriate management responses which are measurable and specific, along with assessing the post mitigated positions.
6. Monitor overall risk exposure and assess against the remaining Risk budget.
7. Proactively manage the completion of management responses to help deliver target positions.
8. Work with contractors to assess contractor held risks and their views on client held risks that impact upon them.
9. Produce risk reports as required, in a timely manner, to support the effective communication of threat & opportunity status.
10. Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels.
The Candidate:
1. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate experienced levels of competence with tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran or similar.
2. Familiarity with web-based database tools - ARM, Predict, Tableau.
3. Candidates will ideally be degree qualified in a construction related subject.
4. Qualitative and quantitative assessment of risk.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
6. Understanding of an integrated risk management process (risk, cost and schedule) on a large programme.
7. Risk workshop facilitation.
8. Threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation.
9. Probabilistic modelling (@risk, PRA and P6 proficiency - or equivalent).
10. Proven experience in a risk delivery role on major projects/programmes. APM/IRM risk certified candidates preferred.
