Job Opportunity
The successful candidate will work as a core part of our engineering team. The position is for an mechanically bias engineer working on a rotating basis (06:00hrs – 14:00hrs and 14:00hrs – 22:00hrs)
You will be expected to work alone and as part of a team to undertake key aspects of maintenance work on mechanical and electrical systems across the site, including but not limited to, conveyor systems, packing machines, sortation equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* To effectively carry out both planned and reactive tasks in a pressurised warehouse environment.
* To comply with Safety, Health and Environmental requirements within the business in line with the Health & Safety Policy and Procedures, e.g. Work Instructions and Safe Systems.
* To understand communication is key ensuring team members and stakeholders are informed of impact every step of the way.
* To be an accurate record keeper, using tools given such as CMMS systems to log task details including time taken, spares used and specific job details.
Essential Skills
Essential Criteria:
* We are looking for an mechanically bias maintenance engineer with at least 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment.
* A methodical thinker that can perform well in a pressurised fault finding environment.
* A hard working and flexible mind set with a good team mentality.
* An excellent communicator that can adapt to all levels of stakeholder presence.
* Self-driven and motivated with a continuous improvement mentality.
* Confident with working at height
Desirable criteria:
* The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent in the relevant biased discipline.
* A user of Microsoft tools and software
* Electrical experience
* Knowledge of CMMS systems
* PASMA
* IPAF
* IOSH
