A great opportunity has arisen for registered professionals with experience in safeguarding to join the Adult Safeguarding Team at NUH.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Practitioner to work within the adult safeguarding team. You will need to have an interest in Safeguarding Adults and have some knowledge of the safeguarding process.
Training and support will be given to enable the successful applicant to work independently as a safeguarding practitioner.
The post available is for 1.0 WTE, 37.5 hours per week, which is a substantive post.
Flexibility may be required to support the children’s and midwifery safeguarding teams where required as part of the ‘Think Family’ approach.
This is predominantly an office-based role but there will be occasions when you will be required to attend clinical areas to support patients and clinical teams.

The post holder will need to be able to receive, convey and present complex information written and verbal, formally and informally as appropriate. They will work to Trust policies and procedures and within safeguarding legislation. They will work together with the Named Professionals in the development of evidence based patient care policies and procedures/audit.
To deliver safeguarding education and training across the trust.
The applicant will need an awareness of the mental capacity act, deprivation of liberty safeguards, domestic abuse act and the mental health act.
