About the role:
Liquid Personnel has an exclusive opportunity for a Children’s Home Manager to oversee a solo home for a young person with backgrounds of EBD and CSE. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Children’s Manager or deputy wanting to utilize their experience and knowledge to shape the future of this home.
You will be working for a fantastic children’s home provider across the northwest who solely focuses on the positive outcomes of young people using therapeutic approaches, by providing solo provisions to give the young person direct 1-1 support, build and repair relationships, and give them the skills for a successful future!
As the Home Manager you will:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, including the management of staff, budget, and resources.
2. Proactively lead the staff team, consistently in conjunction with the deputy, with the aim of creating and delivering a safe, warm environment in which children and young people can achieve positive outcomes.
3. Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including regular performance reviews.
4. Work collaboratively with external agencies, including social workers, healthcare providers, and education professionals, to ensure that each child receives the highest quality care and support.
5. Ensure that the home is a safe and welcoming environment for the young people, and that their needs and preferences are respected and prioritized.
6. Maintain accurate records and reports, and ensure that all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
The successful candidate will have:
1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted registered children’s home.
2. Level 5 in Leadership & Management – Residential childcare (equivalent).
3. A thorough understanding of Ofsted regulations, legislation, and standards relating to residential care homes for children.
4. Excellent leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, and external stakeholders.
6. Physical intervention experience or willingness to undertake practical training.
