As a Finance Assistant/Credit Controller you will work as part of a small team to support the finance department in maintaining records, producing reports and operating efficient financial controls. The main area of responsibility will be the Debtors of all Resorts. • Daily Debt Chase for all resorts via email, letter, telephone enquiries – opening and distributing of mail and ensure all mail is date stamped. • Ensure all customer queries are completed daily and responded to in a good timely manner. • Debtors Ledger – to control the Maintenance Fee debtors Lists and to ensure the correct Debt Collection procedures are in place. • DBS/WBS (Daily and Weekly Banking Summary) – to ensure that all payments received are sorted and accurately recorded for the correct resort daily and that necessary debt trackers are updated with payments received. • Maintain and control the Core Debtors for all resorts ensuring these are up to date on a weekly basis with any payments received and any communication from either Solicitors or Debt Collection Agency with regards to Court decisions or queries regarding outstanding values. • To ensure that all Sale files have been assessed, that all debts of previous owners have been paid and New Owners receive their Maintenance fee invoice in a timely manner • Process annual Assessment works for all Resorts ahead of producing Maintenance Fee Invoices for following year, this includes requesting mailing list in line with GDPR, receiving chairman’s letter/update from each committee, running assessments and issuing to our agent for sending to owners following a strict timetable. • Support fellow team members with other duties such as Purchase Ledger, Payment Runs, and any other reasonable request by your Line Manager or Senior Finance Manager. • Previous experience in a similar role • Strong organisational and analytic skills and attention to detail • Excellent telephone manner • Strong communication skills • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service • Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office • Experience of Sage or other similar accounting packages is preferred, although not essential as training will be provided.
