A class of 30, or a class of 1? As a teacher, dividing your time between 30 students can leave one young person falling behind. With Fresh Start, you can focus on the one who needs you most. As an Education Specialist, you’ll creatively re-engage a young person who’s out of mainstream school, tailoring 1:1 sessions to their unique needs and interests. Sessions take place in their home or an approved public setting, with the aim of rebuilding their confidence and love for learning. Contract and Responsibilities: This is a bank staff contract for short-term provisions (6-12 weeks) - flexible work around your schedule. You will be required to plan and deliver inspirational sessions to your student, empowering them and bringing them hope. Sessions will take place in the student's home or an alternative location, risk assessed and approved by Fresh Start. You will need: a minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working with vulnerable children or young people experience supporting students with SEMH needs (including trauma) and challenging behaviour to demonstrate an excellent and creative delivery of numeracy and literacy (as well as other subjects) across KS2 or KS3 levels to be available for at least two consistent days each week The benefits: Additional £15 per session available to use for resources and activities.
