Our client, a leading Financial Advisory Firm, is seeking a German-speaking Accounts Payable Manager to join their dynamic Accounting team in London. This role involves partnering with various departments to ensure efficient working capital management and overseeing the accounts payable function. The successful candidate will manage a team of AP specialists, develop policies and procedures, and ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the accounts payable processes and supervise the AP team.
Foster a high-performance team environment, providing guidance and mentoring.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and other payable transactions.
Oversee financial statement closing and regulatory activities related to accounts payable.
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors.
Identify and implement process optimisations, including automation and system enhancements.
Collaborate with colleagues across functions to improve the procure-to-pay value stream.About You:
The ideal candidate is a fluent German Speaker, with previous experience in Accounts Payable as well as managing a team. With a commitment to continuous improvement, you possess excellent leadership and management skills, sound judgement, and strong decision-making abilities.
Qualifications:
Fluency in German and English, written and spoken, is mandatory for the role.
Extensive, in-depth Accounts Payable experience.
Previous experience in managing an Accounts Payable team.
Experience in a global enterprise and handling transactions in multiple currencies preferred.
Advanced knowledge of financial transactions, systems, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
