We're looking for a Road Surfacing Apprentice to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Network Team based in Norfolk, working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Road Surfacing.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Location: Based out of one of the following depots: Kings Lynn, Norwich and Ipswich
Hours: 40 hours per week
How does an apprenticeship work?
As a Road Surfacing Apprentice, you'll be enrolled onto a Level 2 apprenticeship in Road Surfacing, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Network team to provide design, build and maintenance solutions to protect the UK's essential services and assets.
Your day to day will include:
* Learning to operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment used in road surfacing, resurfacing and improvements.
* Removing old/existing surfaces.
* Communicating effectively with team members to complete tasks safely and in a timely manner.
* Assisting with risk assessments and ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
What are we looking for?
The role of Road Surfacing Apprentice is great for you if you have:
* A minimum of GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 (GCSE D or above), Functional Skills level 1 in English and Maths.
* Awareness of safety risks and the ability to identify potential hazards.
* Ability to handle physical work in varying weather conditions.
* Punctual, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
* Full Driving License.
