Site Manager- Derry
Competitive Salary DOE (3 Months Contract)
Our client, an established contractor operating within the Retail fit-out sector, requires an experienced Site Manager for a 3-month contract in Derry/Londonderry. With a strong background in Carpentry/Shopfitting a Site Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of retail fit-out project including coordinating with contractors, ensuring safety compliance, managing the project timeline, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Oversee all on-site activities for retail fit-out projects from initiation to completion ensuring quality & deadlines are met.

Monitor day-to-day activities on site and track project progress, making adjustments as needed ensuring tasks are completed to specification and standards.

Ensure all subcontractors and workers adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations promoting a culture of safety on-site.

Work closely with designers, architects, and engineers to resolve any issues related to the design or specifications.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality in workmanship & the project is being executed according to plans and specifications.

Address any defects or issues during the fit-out and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
*
Degree/Qualifications in Engineering or strong trade background.
*
5+ years' experience in a similar role with focus on the shopfitting sector and with strong carpentry background.
*
Proven experience in managing retail fit-out projects, ideally within fast-paced retail environments.
*
Strong leadership and team management skills.
*
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
*
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
*
Immediate availability upon short notice.
