Cancer Centre Quality Surveillance Administrator

Job overview
The Cancer Centre is a progressive team supporting Clinical specialties across Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, to deliver quality cancer services in a timely manner.
Working as part of the Cancer Centre team the post holder will support the provision of a comprehensive administrative service, to primarily support the delivery of the Quality Surveillance Programme for cancer at NUH along with the wider admin needs of the Cancer centre.
Working with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that all relevant information and evidence is collated, the post holder will also provide administrative support in the underpinning processes that drive cancer performance. The post holder must be confident, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to provide this key administrative role.
Main duties of the job
1. Facilitate multidisciplinary team and departmental meetings in relation to the Quality Surveillance programme, including Quality Surveillance review meetings.
2. Assist the Quality Surveillance Lead in providing support to the specific tumour site teams, including collection of evidence for the Quality Surveillance portfolios and updating documentation.
3. Assist the Quality Surveillance Lead in maintaining administrative systems/databases for data collection, to be used for audit purposes where appropriate.
4. Assist the Quality Surveillance Team and clinical speciality teams in reviewing and monitoring performance against compliance measures.
5. Support the Quality Surveillance Team and wider Cancer Centre team with administrative duties, for example: arranging meetings, minute taking for Cancer centre meetings.

Person specification
Training and Qualification
* NVQ level 2 in administration
* IT qualification and competent with Microsoft Office application
* Shorthand qualification
Experience
* Previous experience of working in the NHS
* Understands the importance of accurate data/information and able to check own work for errors
* Experience in facilitating meetings and taking accurate minutes
* Previous experience of working within Cancer Services
* Previous experience of working in an office and/or administrative environment
Communication and relationship skills
* Must be able to clearly and accurately convey information verbally gathered from both verbal and documented reports
* Confident in liaising with both clinical and nonclinical staff
Analytical and Judgement skills
* Able to use judgement to make decisions in order to solve problems/enquiries
* Able to work accurately and under pressure/strict deadlines
Planning and Organisational Skills
* Demonstrates an ability to organise own work schedule, managing many ongoing tasks effectively and in a timely manner

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
