Job Description:
The Belfry Hotel & Resort is an award-winning hotel, home to 300+ luxurious bedrooms and suites, several restaurants and bars, events and meetings spaces, a leisure club and spa. Our three golf courses, including The Brabazon, are recognised as world-class, and home to this year’s Betfred British Masters. Whether you're drawn to our iconic golf courses, the serenity of the spa, the excitement of guest services, or our behind-the-scenes operations, there's a place for you in our vibrant team.
We are writing a new and exciting chapter in the history of The Belfry. A major expansion and renovation project has begun at our resort, due for completion in Autumn 2025. With a substantial investment in excess of £80 million, we are enriching our resort including the addition of a new event space, The Masters Suite, 149 extra bedrooms, a state-of-the-art leisure club, and much more.
We believe in taking care of our team just as much as we do our guests. That's why we were named in the 2024 Caterer’s Top 30 Best Places to Work, as well as Springboard’s 2024 Best Employer. So, join us on our journey as we unveil a new and unparalleled resort.
The on-target earning potential for this role is a £36,760 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £34,800 supplemented by an estimated £1,960 in gratuities per annum, ensuring a rewarding compensation package.
About the role
As Nights Operations Manager you will be leading the night operation across the resort. Responsible for managing the team and maintaining consistently high standards of service and ensuring a flawless guest experience whilst creating a work environment that supports the Belfry values. You will lead by example and provide full support to the nights team to ensure seamless running of the business.
As the Night Manager you will be:
1. Running the night operation across the resort, being on the floor and ready to assist across all departments and making decisions to help and improve the service offered to our guests.
2. Providing excellent guest service, resolving problems when they arise and identifying opportunities to make guests’ experiences memorable and enjoyable.
3. Responsible for the health and safety of guests in house - record all accidents and incidents that may occur within the hotel for guests and staff.
4. Assisting with the Night Audit.
5. To be available at all times to deal with guest queries and/or complaints, monitoring guest satisfaction with regular reporting to the General Manager.
6. To support the night cleaning staff and ensure they are carrying out the duties allocated to them.
7. To check all public areas, including conference rooms, to ensure they have been cleaned and serviced correctly.
8. Co-ordinating and completing the night roster and dealing with any staff absenteeism issues.
9. To be a champion in your department for our waste management and ESG commitments.
10. To maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues, being able to motivate the night’s team to ensure each member is achieving a high level of performance in their role and provide necessary support where required.
Ideal Candidate:
At The Belfry, we are committed to your professional growth and success. The ideal candidate for this role will have had experience working in a similar setting and has worked nights before.
In addition, you will have:
1. Excellent customer service skills with a genuine desire to deliver exceptional experiences to every guest.
2. Experience working with Opera is preferred but not essential.
3. An experienced manager who has led teams within a front office environment.
4. Experienced in taking ownership over your department and achieving financial and guest targets.
5. Able to develop strong relationships with your guests, team, and colleagues.
