Reporting to the Activity Integration Lead, the Integrity Engineer is a critical role within the onshore O&M team ensuring asset safe and reliable operational status for structural and piping facilities whilst ensuring regulatory compliance and verification duties are maintained and assured at all times. The position is embedded within a multi-disciplined operations support team with an integrity engineering and maintenance bias supporting Duty Holder decommissioning operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure integrity related equipment is safely managed and maintained effectively and that any engineering & maintenance activities are delivered in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Health, Safety & Environmental practices.
2. Prioritise repairs and inspections as required. Record the integrity status of the asset structural and piping equipment and provide preliminary assessment of any associated risks.
3. Owner of the asset integrity anomalies registers and accountable for the planned execution / deferral management of inspection activities.
4. Management of 3rd party integrity & inspection sub-contractor.
5. Responsible for company Integrity Assurance and Verification requirements.
6. Review and input into Engineering & Integrity Risk Assessments.
7. Responsible for development and management of the asset integrity budget.
8. Input into Management of Change process and that changes to the design and construction of integrity equipment are appropriately documented.
9. Ensures any modifications to the Safety and Environmental Critical Systems are notified to the Independent Competent Body.
10. Management and technical leader of the offshore integrity inspection teams.
11. Carry out engineering studies, and root cause investigations where required in support of delivering to an agenda of continuous improvement.
12. Liaise with manufacturers on aspects of equipment trouble shooting and problem solving.
13. Support the development and implementation of decommissioning plans for equipment rundown maintenance strategies to ensure safe and reliable EDC operations.
14. Support the implementation of obsolescence related inspections aligned with decommissioning project milestones.
15. Support critical equipment reliability and availability reviews.
16. Review decommissioning work packs, inspection work programmes and technical proposals provided by 3rd parties in support of work execution.
17. Support the decommissioning programmes and the implementation of safe integrity procedures and practices.
18. Other duties as assigned which may be reasonably expected within the scope of the role.
Competence Requirements
Knowledge & Qualifications
1. Mechanical engineering Bachelor’s degree.
2. Candidates should hold chartership accreditation with a recognised UK professional body and be recognised as a Chartered Engineer through the Engineering Council UK.
3. Valid OGUK Medical, MIST and BOSIET is preferred.
