We are recruiting an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team in a friendly department. We offer a full range of services that include NIV and CPAP, home oxygen assessment, a developing CPET service and a full range of lung function testing.
Main duties of the job
You will take an active part in the running of a busy department, supporting junior team members and working closely with the respiratory multi-disciplinary team. You will take a lead role in the lung function testing aspect of the service and will be encouraged to develop new skills to support your professional development. There are opportunities for involvement in NIV, Sleep, CPET and Home Oxygen along with audit, research and quality improvement projects. You should hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology or an equivalent qualification. Possession of relevant professional qualifications (ARTP Practitioner or equivalent) is essential. You should be eligible for the RCCP or HCPC registration. Applications for the Band 6 post require a minimum of 1 year's post qualification experience, but less experienced applications will be considered as a developmental role.

Essential
* BSc in Clinical Science/Physiology or relevant scientific degree e.g. Scientist Training Program (STP)
* ARTP/BTS Part I and Part 2 Assessment/ ARTP Practitioner examination or equivalent experience
* Registered/eligible for the AHCS voluntary register or HCPC Statutory register
Experience

* More than 1 year as a qualified and registered Respiratory Clinical Physiologist or completion of Scientist Training Program (STP)
* Specialist training/experience in areas of advanced respiratory and sleep measurement e.g. respiratory sleep studies/ non-invasive ventilation / oxygen therapy
* Supervision of junior staff
* Knowledge of respiratory diseases and their effects on respiratory function
* Knowledge of specialised respiratory investigations
* Knowledge of sleep disorders, their associated investigations and therapeutic interventions used to treat these conditions.

* Full lung function testing, airway challenge testing, respiratory muscle assessment
