Summer School Subject Tutor (9-12 year olds)

As a Subject Tutor for 9-12s, you will use your expertise to design and teach a syllabus to inspire international students on one or more 1-week courses (12 hrs contact time over 1 week, and 3 hrs preparation time).
We are looking for Teachers for our 2 locations to cover the following courses:
* History Explorers
* Maths Explorers
* Story Explorers (Creative Writing)
* Tech Explorers
* Science Explorers
* Law Explorers
* Medicine Explorers
* Enterprise Explorers
Pay and hours: Minimum £32 per hour, equivalent to minimum £480 per course. This is based on 12 hrs contact time over 1 week, and 3 hrs additional preparation allowance per course. Pay bands depend on subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience. Accommodation and travel expenses not covered.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Prepare topics, class materials and resources in advance for a group of up to 15.
* Complete induction training in advance to familiarise yourself with company procedures, logistical requirements and safeguarding.
* Provide students with a positive, yet challenging learning experience.
* Record attendance and report any welfare concerns to keep students safe.
* Establish and maintain good behaviour for a productive learning environment.
* Set one hour of homework for students between lessons to encourage independent learning.
* Mark and provide feedback on any items of work submitted during the course to support students' development.
* After the course, write a report for each student to document their progress.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant subject.
* Experience teaching or working with young people in a similar role.
* Excellent at planning creative classes and engaging teaching.
* Able to adapt to suit the learning needs of young international students.
* Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role).
